¿Cómo te sientes ahora?

"¿Cómo te sientes ahora?" or in English "How Are You Feeling Now?" tackles the whole experience of being a Latine individual in the United States. I began this project in 2021 when I was 18. I address what it feels like growing up as a first-generation immigrant, in a country that doesn't always feel welcoming despite it being "home." While also addressing the beauty of the experience of being Latine, the inherited pride towards our countries, and the way we express it. As well as the inherited fears and worries that come from my immigrant parents. Being Latina in America is many things and "¿Cómo te sientes ahora?" aims at showing it all. I don't view any of these photos existing apart from the others; even though they were created using different means, I regard them all as part of a lifelong process of cultural discovery that is never-ending and evolves over time. My sentiments towards my culture will continue to evolve as the world does, thus I don't see this work coming to a conclusion.
